A: Many of them work in the Open Source community, you can support them with modest donations and most will take PayPal.  The remainder are working for profit hoping you will make the most from their software.

Q: Can you enjoy safe internet access?

A: Of course!  A little assistance from people like AVG and Safeeyes helps!
